Sometimes I wish for silly things. Today, while putting together the Christmas buffet and playing around making the W-I-S-H banner, was one of those times.
First, I wished I had been the one to paint these little bunnies. I'm not beating myself up for that one because, well, who wouldn't. And, hey, I did snag this print on canvas for just $20. I was only going to use the frame but when I got it home I had a better idea.
Before the "S" was set right |
Then I wished I hadn't hung that "S" upside downwards... I'm still wishing that one.
After the "S" was set right |
I wished I could, just once, use a glue gun without burning myself.
I wished glitter only stuck to things you wanted it to.
And, I wished I could remember my glasses were (still) on the top of my head.
I even wished I was taller.
Oh, and seriously, I wished for world peace.
Just one more wish...I wish every project, like this one, turned out to look just like the picture I had in my head.

ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your buffet display, but my favorite is the bunny picture. It is so awesome!!
ReplyDeleteI really like the white, silver and natural palette of the vignette. It's so pretty on the buffet. Stopping by (tardily) from Met Mon with thanks for coming to see us. Jane
ReplyDeleteI think everything looks so nice. I love the branch candle holders. everything looks great!
ReplyDeleteVery cute Lindy. I wouldn't have noticed the upside down "s" if you hadn't said anything. Here's wishing you a Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteHugs~ Amanda
Sweet post! And your buffet is beautiful! I'm really liking those twig candle rings!
ReplyDeleteHi Lindy! I just love your bunny painting. I love anything with rabbits...we even have one for a family pet! Love your banner too. I would like something similar to hang on my big mirror in the front room. Beautiful buffet display!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the bunny print...so wintery! Did you make the twig candle rings? They are awesome. Any directions? It all looks lovely together. I'd say your wish did come true.
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower and love your blog!
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of the rabbit print. ;-)
ReplyDelete@Karen
ReplyDeleteKaren,
I didn't make the twig candle rings. "I can make that" was the first thing I thought when I saw them but when I saw the price, $7.50 and 40% off that....sold!
Like Karen, I love love love the bunny print, Lindy! AND you have got to share the twig candle rings! Looking at them, they appear to be a bear to try and make, so I'm hoping you'll tell me they came from Kirklands or Hobby Lobby, Target or Wally World! haha Merry Christmas, CutiePie!
ReplyDeleteI just had to come back and tell you that I began looking for that print, for it's just too sweet. Here's a link. You may have a great find on your hands :)

Wonderful display. I especially like the twig candle rings.
ReplyDeleteI also wish I didn't always burn myself when I use a glue gun....probably why I never use super glue, I'd super glue myself to something.
Beautiful buffet vignette, Lindy!
ReplyDeleteI'm lovin' those twig candle rings - I see some other people do too! Very nice.
ReplyDeleteThis is all so stunning! I love it! And since I am a HUGE rabbit person....I am wishing....I had that print!!! Wherever did you get it? Does it have a name?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous buffet!
Merry Christmas!
Lou Cinda
Hi Lou Cinda, I got the bunny print from a local junk store -- for real! But check out Nancy's comment - she sent me a little info on it.
ReplyDeleteI love the soft muted tones of the buffet, the angel and the plates with the dark woodsy-ness of the candle and the picture. Just the right amount of silver was used to give it that sparkly hint of a party.
ReplyDeleteWherever did you acquire those adorable bunnies? What a beautiful vignette you've created ~ I'm so glad it met your expectations! World Peace may be more difficult to accomplish but we can all keep WISHING! xox
ReplyDeleteI adore the bunny print!! I enjoy your blog, the vignette is so pretty. Thanks for sharing your home. Would love some stocking to hang, when the kids left home they took ours with them.
ReplyDeleteMary L

ReplyDelete"I wish the bunnies WERE MINE"!!!This is an adorable post and LOVE EVERYTHING!!! Hugs to you, Donna
ReplyDeleteI LOVE it! So very ingenious. The twig candle rings are awesome. And I'm so with you on the glitter. As pretty as glitter is, it is forbidden in my house due to the mess...it never leaves after you're done with it!
ReplyDeleteIt's just beautiful, Lindy. I "wish" you were a friend of mine..oh wait, I think that one came true ;). Blessings, Kim. Is there a stick candle ring tutorial that I missed?
ReplyDeleteI too adore the bunny print! What a deal you found and what a treasure! I sometimes buy things at thrift stores that I think I'll take apart, paint or sell and when I bring them into my home, I see them in a completely new light and suddenly can't imagine changing or parting with them! I love your "wish" banner too, and your post was very sweet! Thank you for sharing!

ReplyDeleteYou are very crafty! I am loving your blog and am your newest follower. Your "Wish" banner is so cool, especially hanging from the bunny print--which I love btw! The whole vignette is magazine worthy. I bought a Merry Christmas banner yesterday at Target for like $3 out of Tartan plaid--similar to yours. Stop by vignette design sometime and say hi! ~Delores
This really is one of the prettiest things I've seen this Christmas! I love it! Merry Christmas! ♥
