We just had a little cold snap here in the south which got my attention and made me take a good long look at the calendar. All I could say was "wow". Where did this year go?
If I'm going to make any Christmas stockings I better get crackin'!

I don't know about you guys but it's hard for me to get started on Christmas projects when it's 80 degrees outside. I need inspiration. Cold works, but it's unreliable where I live.
Bloggers are inspirational AND a lot more reliable.
I found inspiration for the trim on this first stocking at
Beyond the Screen Door.
Are these pillows awesome or what?

Sonya has an amazing talent with fabric. You have to visit her Blog (where you'll find a great tutorial on how to make the trim) and her Shop -- and don't skip out without checking out her

You'll be inspired, too. I love how this blogging thing works...

These are too cute! I have a stack of felted sweaters calling to to turn them into stockings, so your post has inspired me to get a move on!
ReplyDeleteDarling stockings! I need to get cracking myself! Hugs- Diana
ReplyDeleteThey are the cutest stockings!!
ReplyDeleteThose are lovely - you might consider adding them to a Christmas stocking linky I'm just starting up. I haven't even got my own up and might not for another week :-)

Love your stockings Lindy!!! Sonya does great work, you are right!
ReplyDeleteLindy, I love all your stockings! Just beautiful! I also love Sonya's pillow-very pretty! Thanks for sharing these wonderful things with us!
ReplyDeleteThese are great! I love the whimsical feel they add to the mantel(:
ReplyDeleteLindy, those are so pretty! Love them!
ReplyDeleteLovely inspirations Lindy! I am getting so excited for Christmas. But it's snowing here and has been for weeks, so I think that helps. :)
ReplyDeleteVery cute Lindy. I should just make some for my husband and myself. I want more of a rust and gold and bronze look to go with our Family room theme. The pillows are so cute. I sent you an email. You asked me to email you. I did twice...
ReplyDeleteThese stockings are so creative and lovely. I really like the rag top on the auqa stocking. Very creative. I try not to get to Christmas crazed before Thanksgiving, but after seeing these beautiful stockings it is going to be hard.

I love them! Lindy, this is what creativity among bloggers is all about! Seeing an idea, tweaking it to make it your own!
ReplyDeleteGreat job! I have only barely started thinking about Christmas! I need to get moving!
Your stockings are so very cute. I love the tassel at the toe.
ReplyDeleteLove your stockings! Fabulous job Lindy. I'm going to make new stockings this year for my bunch. Not as fancy as your's though. I know what you mean about not getting into the holiday spirits when it's still warm outside. We reached 94 degrees here last Friday. Hard to even believe it's November with temps like that. Take care.
ReplyDeleteHugs~ Amanda
Darling stockings ~ very creative! I can't imagine thinking about Christmas either with those temps, but I don't think I have to worry about that since it never happens here in Ohio :)
ReplyDeleteCindy
Your stockings are just fabulous! Love them - hard to pick a favorite!
ReplyDeleteJeanine
Wow - these are brilliant. Honestly, other bloggers should be coming to YOU for inspiration.

These are adorable! The shape is great and your choice of fabrics is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThose are adorable! I still have to finish the ones I started, oh about 6 years ago! (Or was has it been 8 years?) Shame on me.
ReplyDeleteHi Lindy,
ReplyDeleteThose are very cute! I love the pillows too. We have snow here now, so I am very motivated to get going on me Christmas sewing.
Thanks for sharing and thanks for stopping by to say hi!

Oh, I just became a follower. I couldn't stand to see your counter at 666, lol!
ReplyDeleteLindy your stockings are absolutely gorgeous. I have a couple kind of like these that were ultra expensive and I keep thinking that I should go buy some fun fabrics and make more. I did the felt applique ones for the family and have kept that up with each new addition, but my style really runs in this direction so the homier ones don't come out until Christmas Eve.
ReplyDeleteI especially love the blue one.
Okay, you have officially inspired me to start getting out my Christmas decorations! Thank you... the stockings are amazing!

Cute! You did a great job. And I just have to say I LOVE the pom-pom!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stockings. I bought premade ones last year and decorated them with greens balls and bead garlands. They were my best sellers at craft fairs. Thanks for getting me going on this years. ~~Sherry
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Stopping by from Remodelaholic to see these beauties. I decided to make my own this year as well though I haven't started. I love how these turned out, thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThese are great, Lindy! I love them! What a great idea for using up some decorator fabric {and believe me I have lots of it}!
