That looking at the calendar thing has backfired, big time, and I'm a little under water! So, I thought I'd share some pictures of a room I did pre-blog for a client. Hope you enjoy...
I worked with the existing, impossible to describe, wall color.
I guess I'd have to say (if you held a gun to my head) it was a brownish, grayish, putty color..
Sounds like maybe I didn't like it but really, I did!
The screen was cut from a sheet of plywood that I hinged and painted to compliment the room.
This sweet little chair belonged to the client's mother.
I love the window treatment. The silk fabric is a very wide stripe. I used inverted pleats and rings and cut the wooden rods short because the window was very wide and I didn't want to see a lot of bare rod.
I covered the padded headboard and made the dust ruffle out of the same fabric.

This turned out beautifully. The screen is great and I like the idea of cutting the curtain rods so they don't take up so much attention. Lovely room!(-:
