White Christmas Tree Tutorial & Pattern

(Am I crazy or is this Snowguy looking a little smug?)

I promised to show everyone how to make the white, 3D Christmas trees keeping company with my Bottle Snowfolks you can see *here*-- I'm planning a tutorial on them, too.

I think I promised they were super easy, too, and I like keeping my promises so you tell me...

All you'll need:
  • White card stock (3 pieces per tree)
  • Sewing Machine with white thread
  • Pattern
tree pattern

    All you have to do:

Fold one piece of card stock in half, longways.

Open the folded sheet back flat and place on 2 additional sheets of card stock.

Use the folded line as a guide and using white thread machine stitch down the center and through all three sheets.
Trace the pattern on both sides of the stitching very lightly.
Cut the pattern out of all three layers of paper at once.
Fan out the layers by folding each layer at the stitching.

That's it.  Was I telling the truth or what...

Oh how easy are they to store, too!

Also, I am REALLY intrrigued by your snow people. What an innovative way to embellish bottles!!

    11. Cute! I love it in white but some of the double-sided scrapbooking papers would look nifty too!
I made the fabric version of these this year:

I never thought of doing it in paper (I dream in fabric, lol) but these are really cute.

    12. Love these Lindy! They remind me of all the folding/gluing artwork we did in grade school. All those triangle mural things. Great memories... thanks. Yes my friend loved her new runner... they are super easy to make too. Have a great weekend. I can't wait to see the tutorial on snowman bottle (yes he did look a little smug) ;o)
