I love a pretty little guest room.
I decorated this one with a couple of my favorite
little guests in mind...
Grand Twins Aubrey and Chloe!
The furniture was a hideous shade of mustard gold.
That would explain why I paid only $250 for all 4 pieces!
I made the tie backs out of flattened coke cans -- promise!
Just cut the shapes out, scored the details, spray painted red, gold leafed and antiqued.
Sounds like a future tutorial ...
I found this pair of oil paintings for $50.
They're old (the patina's real) and in less than perfect
condition but I love them any ol' way.
Ask these two to do something they really don't want to do?
Chloe immediately holds up her finger to show you
she can't (she has a hang nail) and
Aubrey states flatly, "I can't want to, honey"!
Silly girls...
Silly girls...

ReplyDeleteWould there be any chance that you might share a little more on the measurements and "how to" entry cabinet. I shared with my husband how talented you are and we love the color of the house and what you have done to the yard. We are on our first renovation of his mom's house and we want to be respectful to her memory as well as the house it self since it was built for her. Thank you in advance,
Always, Teresa

This room is SO sweet and I bet those girls are going to LOVE coming to stay with Grandma all of their lives!!!
ReplyDeletevery pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love this room and the grandtwins that inspired it! So sweet...they are lucky to have you for a grandma it looks like :)
ReplyDeleteThis room is lovely! My mother's room for my little girls is very similar - vintage upholstered twin beds and everything!
ReplyDeleteSoooo pretty! The twins are adorable!
ReplyDeleteThe best part of the room are those two little cuties! But I also love those tie backs. Very cool that they are coke cans.
ReplyDeleteTheir room is beyond adorable... you did a great job and I still can't believe you made the birdy tie-backs yourself ... you should definitely do a tutorial!
ReplyDeleteThat room is so cute and so are the girls! I have an identical twin sister too and they remind me so much of us with their little pigtails. We are both 29 years old now and both got pregnant with our first babies last year and both had boys! ha..ha..the life of twins :)
ReplyDeleteVery nice room! Those girls are so cute, too!
ReplyDeleteThe bedroom is almost as adorable as the "silly girls"! Actually, I love everything about it...especially the vintage art. I have vintage framed art all over my cottage. I'm constantly changing it out, because I have so much of it.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,

I love the room so much and I have 2 SETS of graandtwins! Yes, girl/girl six-year-olds and boy/girl two-year-olds...LOVE THEM! The little ones say something very similar. When they don't want to eat something or nap or whatever, they say, "I can't like that!" Love the bird pillow!!
ReplyDeleteGale...no way! Some has their hands full. But aren't they the most fun ever!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe twins are adorable. I love all the fabrics you used, plus those old pictures. Mustard gold furniture? The style of furniture hardly seems like it would work with that color, so you have to wonder what the previous owners were thinking. You made it look perfect!
ReplyDeleteFantastic! Just love this!
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday greetings from Holland,
with love,
Ineke
What a pretty room for two pretty little guests.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday,
Karen
What fun having such sweet company. Too cute.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday Lindy Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteOh what a beautiful share. All 20 little pink toes and fingers. I can certainly see the one saying she has a hang nail, and the other just flatly refusing, she just didn't want to. Oh my Double Trouble. Love their little faces, what a double bundle of joy.
Lindy I definitely love the furniture set. What a deal, and girl you did wonders with it. They are exquisite. Now I SO want a tutorial on the coke can tie backs. Pleeeeez. Will be watching and waiting. Please email me a heads up when you do. I can't wait.
Thank you for taking me along on this beautiful tour of the guest room at Cottage Hill. I have so enjoyed my visit this morning. Many hugs and much love, Sherry
What little cuties.... and the room is pretty too! :-)
ReplyDeleteWarm blessings,
Spencer
