Wishes Do Come True

Sometimes I wish for silly things.  Today, while putting together the Christmas buffet and playing around making the W-I-S-H banner, was one of those times.

First, I wished I had been the one to paint these little bunnies.  I'm not beating myself up for that one because, well, who wouldn't.  And, hey, I did snag this print on canvas for just $20.  I was only going to use the frame but when I got it home I had a better idea.

Before the "S" was set right

Then I wished I hadn't hung that "S" upside downwards... I'm still wishing that one.
After the "S" was set right

I wished I could, just once, use a glue gun without burning myself.
I wished glitter only stuck to things you wanted it to.
And, I wished I could remember my glasses were (still) on the top of my head.
I even wished I was taller.
Oh, and seriously, I wished for world peace.

Just one more wish...I wish every project, like this one, turned out to look just like the picture I had in my head.

    Karen,
I didn't make the twig candle rings. "I can make that" was the first thing I thought when I saw them but when I saw the price, $7.50 and 40% off that....sold!

  12. Like Karen, I love love love the bunny print, Lindy! AND you have got to share the twig candle rings! Looking at them, they appear to be a bear to try and make, so I'm hoping you'll tell me they came from Kirklands or Hobby Lobby, Target or Wally World! haha Merry Christmas, CutiePie!

  14. Wonderful display. I especially like the twig candle rings.
I also wish I didn't always burn myself when I use a glue gun....probably why I never use super glue, I'd super glue myself to something.

  19. I love the soft muted tones of the buffet, the angel and the plates with the dark woodsy-ness of the candle and the picture. Just the right amount of silver was used to give it that sparkly hint of a party.

  26. I too adore the bunny print! What a deal you found and what a treasure! I sometimes buy things at thrift stores that I think I'll take apart, paint or sell and when I bring them into my home, I see them in a completely new light and suddenly can't imagine changing or parting with them! I love your "wish" banner too, and your post was very sweet! Thank you for sharing!
