Fall Leaf Tablecloth

Here is a quick and super easy fall sewing project.  Simply stitch silk leaves (removed from their stems) around the edge of a purchased table cloth.  How easy is that? And cute to boot!

I sewed the leaves  about 1/4" from the edge of the tablecloth, all pointing in the same direction
and slightly overlapping each leaf.

Small Practice Painting No. 6

  34. Hi Lindy-

I get quite excited when I stumble upon a genius idea like yours posted here. I just adore this idea. I have a length of woven brown and white fabric that I use on my dining table at Thanksgiving. The table is huge and no cloth would fit, so I opted for yardage of unfinished fabric. After a few years using/washing it, the ends are raveling - sewing leaves along the edge is just what my cloth needs. It is going to look so nice. Thanks for the great idea. I found your link on Funky Junk.
    My best- Diane
