White Christmas Tree Tutorial & Pattern

(Am I crazy or is this Snowguy looking a little smug?)

I promised to show everyone how to make the white, 3D Christmas trees keeping company with my Bottle Snowfolks you can see *here*-- I'm planning a tutorial on them, too.

I think I promised they were super easy, too, and I like keeping my promises so you tell me...

All you'll need:
  • White card stock (3 pieces per tree)
  • Sewing Machine with white thread
  • Pattern
tree pattern

    All you have to do:

Fold one piece of card stock in half, longways.

Open the folded sheet back flat and place on 2 additional sheets of card stock.

Use the folded line as a guide and using white thread machine stitch down the center and through all three sheets.
Trace the pattern on both sides of the stitching very lightly.
Cut the pattern out of all three layers of paper at once.
Fan out the layers by folding each layer at the stitching.

That's it.  Was I telling the truth or what...

Oh how easy are they to store, too!

    Back in the Day

My name is Lindy and I'm a blogaholic.

    It's true.

Right now I'm out of town, without my camera cord and feeling a little lost.  I've decided if I could just post SOMETHING I'd feel much better.

So why not re-post some things from "back in the day."  Back in the day when I was blogging away and only a handful of dear, dear readers were reading (and before I learned to turn the flash off on my camera).

Here are a couple of earlier posts that didn't get much love... except from me. They are some of my favorites so I'm sharing them here with you again.  I hope you enjoy them...

And this one did get a lot of love but is still one of my favorites...

I don't know about you but I'm feeling much, much better now.

    Christmas Kitchen

I'm glammin' up my kitchen for Christmas.

My first project is this cabinet that holds some of my glassware.

It's a great spot to display something fun!

The Christmas trees are made out of white card stock.  I'm planning a tutorial on how to make them including patterns for next week.

I made these handsome guys out of empty bottles.

I found the inspiration for them in an old craft magazine.

One of the snowgirls is wearing my favorite Christmas quote...

"I used to be Snow White, but I drifted." -- Mae West
